While rebuilding the python related packages against the Python 3.15rc1
version we found that debugpy fails to build from source [1].
This is due to an added DeprecationWarning in python 3.15 when using
fork from a multithreaded program. And the fact that the tests run in a
mode that considers all warnings as errors. To actually avoid the
warning problem a redesign in the way the debugger runs it's components
(and the debugging application) would be required. Instead I added a
patch that simply ignores the DeprecationWarning during the tests run.
I'm attaching that patch applied to the sandbox [2], this patch allow
use to build the packages that depend on debugpy.
Please consider applying this or a similar patch, and/or discussing with
upstream about a proper fix.
