The golang-inet-netstack package contains unmaintained upstream code.
It has no reverse dependencies in Debian.
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-inet-netstack
The upstream project was archived in 2022:
https://github.com/inetaf/netstack
This repo is no longer maintained. As of Go 1.17 and its lazy module
loading we no longer need it, so we now just use upstream gVisor
directly.
This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused
golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated
with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely
rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is
ever any future need for it. Meanwhile, I don't think it is useful to
keep this package in Debian.
