When installing a system via D-I using the Minimal Edu installation
profile, users cannot log in to the installed machine after first boot.

Installing the libpam-krb5 package fixes the failing user login.

The solution is to assure education-networked (not just
education-networked-common) installed when installing Minimal Edu
systems. This also includes additional packages being pulled in (such
as network-manager). This is intended. If needed, those packages can
be uninstalled after D-I installation.

Hello,

Bug #1146479 in debian-edu reported by you has been fixed in the
Git repository and is awaiting an upload. You can see the commit
message below and you can check the diff of the fix at:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
tasks/networked: Minimal profile installations are Debian Edu network clients

Make sure the education-networked package gets installed on Minimal
profile installations. This e.g. assures that libpam-krb5 becomes
available on installed systems with Minimal profile. Without this
PAM module, user login fails on Minimal profile installations.

The idea of the tasks/networked meta package / tasksel task is that all
requirements for clients on a Debian Edu network get installed. This
includes the Minimal installation profile (as it is intended to be used
for non-desktop installation on a Debian Edu site).

This change will also lead to network-manager being installed on systems
configure as "Minimal" Edu machines. This is intended.
