Hi, Thanks for taking lead to update anthy.

Upon upgrade involving:
 Start-Date: 2026-09-07  01:04:24¶
    Commandline: apt-get dist-upgrade -y¶
    Requested-By: osamu (1000)¶
    Install: libconfig++15:amd64 (1.8.2+ds-1, automatic), libanthy2:amd64 (1:1.0.0.20260213-1, automatic), photorec:amd64 (7.2-2, automat↦
    Upgrade: libm17n-0:amd64 (1.8.6-1+b2, 1.8.6-1+b3), testdisk:amd64 (7.2-0.2+b1, 7.2-2), libanthy-dev:amd64 (1:0.4-3+b2, 1:1.0.0.202602↦
    End-Date: 2026-09-07  01:05:00¶

I started to see errors and their details goes as quoted below.

Please note I don't have problem with ibus-mozc now. No upgrade of
ibus-anthy nor ibus happened recently.

So problem is clearly caused by

* libanthy2:amd64 (1:1.0.0.20260213-1, automatic)
* libanthy-dev:amd64 (1:0.4-3+b2, 1:1.0.0.202602 ...

I suppose problems are:

* missing newly build packages depending on updated libanthy2 instead of
  libanthy1t64
  * gir1.2-anthy-9000
  * libanthygobject-1.0-5
* coordination of changes of the library: libanthy1t64 -> libanthy2
  * No package dependency to block migration of libanthy2 without
    upgraded gir1.2-anthy-9000 and libanthygobject-1.0-5

I vaguely remember we always uploaded anthy build packages with
ibus-anthy packages. So we never worried about it and no major issues.

Also, there is no mechanism to conflict with old ibus-anthy upon
upgrade. So dependency doesn't block upgrade. (I don't know setting
such dependency is right solution)

I think following actions are desirable:

* Prepare and upload ibus-anthy ASAP.
* Add "Conflict: ibus-anthy (<= 1.5.18-3)" to newly build Anthy-build
  libraries if appropriate (This needs lots of thinking... or use
  "Break: ..." or ...)

Good luck.

Osamu

PS: mozc recently had problem (I vaguely remember, missing ibus-mzc
package due to blocked library migration in testing). That's why I was
using anthy again. The package dependency management is not easy one. I
know it as the first hand since I broke ibus-mozc many years ago. Since
then, I am not touching these packages much. So please consider my
opinion to contain some wrong ideas.
