Please setup a tracker to add python3.15 as a supported python3 version. This is non-blocking, as packages can migrate on their own once built. We're not yet starting this, just want to have an overview of affected packages. Please copy the tracker from the python3.14-add tracker. 3.15.0 will be released at the beginning of October, so we can start this as soon as we are confident in the state of the Python packages in the archive. Stefano
Hi Matthias The new tracker is up: https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/python3.15-add.html Regards Graham
With the upstream 3.15.0 release scheduled for October 1, it's time to add it as a supported version for forky as well. Quality of the packages looks okish, please see Maxy's most recent report at [1], including a repository with added 3.15 for various packages. My plan is to make that addition in the second half of October. Please consider checking for your Python related package, or if somebody else already did, applying patches found in [2]. Addressing these known issues before Mid October would be appreciated. Looks like this transition started today with the upload of python3-defaults (3.14.8-1) to unstable.
