CONTEXT
=======

I upgraded this machine from Debian 11 to Debian 12 to Debian 13. On Debian
12
I do not know whether I was running Xorg or Wayland, but everything seemed
to
work fine, which is why I went ahead and upgraded to 13. Debian 13 gave me a
Wayland session by default, and that is when the freezes started.

WHAT I OBSERVE
==============

On a Dell OptiPlex 390 with a GeForce 210 (GT218, Tesla) using nouveau, in a
GNOME Wayland session, the machine freezes completely: the display stops
updating and input stops responding. I recover with SysRq (Emergency Sync,
Emergency Remount R/O) and reboot.

With the previous 6.1.0 kernel from Debian 12 and Wayland, same freeze.

Running the same system under Xorg instead, I have not had the freeze.
