Dear maintainer: During a rebuild of all packages in unstable using the nocheck build profile, this package failed to build. Below you will find the last part of the build log (probably the most relevant part, but not necessarily). If required, the full build log is available here: https://people.debian.org/~sanvila/build-logs/202609/ A wiki page discussing how to reproduce bugs in this category and possible solutions is available here: https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS/nocheck About the archive rebuild: The build was made on virtual machines from AWS, using sbuild and a reduced chroot with only build-essential packages. If you cannot reproduce the bug please contact me privately, as I am willing to provide ssh access to a virtual machine where the bug is fully reproducible. If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use reassign and add an affects on src:python-openclatura, so that this is still visible in the BTS web page for this package. reopen 1147379 tags 1147379 patch thanks Hi. Sorry for the reopening. Apparently, whatever you did in 0.3.2+ds-1 did not work for 0.3.3+ds-1. This is what I get currently: Package: python-openclatura Version: 0.3.3+ds-1 [...] Build Profiles: nocheck [...] debian/rules override_dh_installman make[1]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' PYTHONPATH=src help2man debian/python3-openclatura/usr/bin/openclatura --name 'SMILES to IUPAC name generator' --no-info > debian/openclatura.1 help2man: can't get `--help' info from debian/python3-openclatura/usr/bin/openclatura Try `--no-discard-stderr' if option outputs to stderr make[1]: *** [debian/rules:10: override_dh_installman] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' make: *** [debian/rules:7: binary] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess failed with exit status 2 I've used my script "check-nocheck" (linked from the wiki page) and this was the outcome: ==== Checking annotations for package python-openclatura ==== Trying with all build-dependencies Build worked Trying without python3-hypothesis Build worked, it is ok to keep python3-hypothesis <!nocheck> Trying without python3-pytest Build worked, it is ok to keep python3-pytest <!nocheck> Trying without python3-rdkit Build did NOT work, python3-rdkit should not have <!nocheck> ==== build-dependencies that should drop their <!nocheck> annotation ==== python3-rdkit Therefore, the attached patch should work. (Note: I do not claim that this is the only way possible to fix the issue). Thanks.
We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of python-openclatura, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 1147379@bugs.debian.org, and the maintainer will reopen the bug report if appropriate. Hi, Thanks for investigating the cause of the failure. I have just dropped <!nocheck> from python3-rdkit and uploaded as -2. Best wishes, Andrius
