When an attempt to enable file sharing using NetworkManager by going to the
interface selecting the IPV4 settings then selecting  method "shared to other
computers" so the interface can be shared when connected to the local interface
of the computer does not work. The Internet connection sharing protocol works in
Linux mint and Ubuntu but does not work when selected from Debian 13.6 using
NetworkManager GUI.

I use XFCE 4.2
I have enclosed the menu item for the Ethernet interface to share.
