Upstream has worked on the 3.x series for keychain, and recently 3.0.4
was published, could you package it for unstable?

I have had my eye on it for a while, I think the Python rewrite is
a good idea, but I have been a bit distracted with stuff outside Debian.
But yes, I will try to get to it soon; thanks for the reminder!
