I'm using an Intel NUC connected via HDMI to an ASUS monitor. Up until the libevent update, I could plug headphones into the monitor and listen to music, but that stopped. It is still possible to hear music via the NUC jack. The latest updates were libevent-core-2.1-7t64:amd64 and libevent-2.1-7t64:amd64 according to /var/log/apt/history.log.

I'm actually running Devuan, but those developers told me: "However, src:libevent is not forked in Devuan and we use Debian's packages directly without recompilation. So, in principle this should be reported to Debian's BTS."

Hello,

The package libevent had to upgrade to the 2.1.13 version in trixie due
to security patches difficult to backport to the previous version 2.1.12.

Your problem seems quite tricky, could you send more information that
could help resolve the issue? Like relevant log output, dmesg or syslog
messages?
