About the archive rebuild: The build was made on virtual machines from AWS,
using sbuild and a reduced chroot with only build-essential packages.

am willing to provide ssh access to a virtual machine where the bug is
fully reproducible.

If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use
reassign and add an affects on src:grpc, so that this is still
visible in the BTS web page for this package.

Hi Laszlo and Santiago,

I was able to prepare a patch [1] to the upstream tree to resolve this
FTBFS, which I have posted as a GitLab snippet on Salsa since the VCS
[2] is a bit out-of-date for an MR. This led to a successful build in
unstable with local sbuild.

Would you possibly be able to review this and sponsor an upload if
acceptable please?

In the longer term, I would be happy to help maintain this package and
resolve the other RC bugs, as three of my packages are reverse-depends.
Would it perhaps be possible to update the VCS as a start?
