During their transition from GNOME 50 to 51, Ubuntu developers found
that the version of onboard currently in Debian is not compatible with
gjs 1.89.2, which has a behaviour change for how D-Bus proxy wrappers
are instantiated: they need to be like "new this.OnboardProxy(...)",
not just "this.OnboardProxy(...)".

gjs 1.89.90 changes the older code path so it warns and succeeds,
instead of failing, but I suspect that this is temporary and will stop
working in a future release.

This was fixed upstream by a one-line change

and Ubuntu applies that commit as a patch:

Please apply the patch, or update to upstream 1.4.4.6. This will become
a blocker for the GNOME Shell 51 transition when we are otherwise ready
to do that transition.

changelog when this patch is applied.
