Gold and Silver Calculator is a graphical desktop application for
calculating the theoretical material value of gold and silver objects.

The calculation is based on the object's weight, fineness and the current
precious-metal price. Current gold and silver prices are retrieved
automatically from the Linuga price server.

The application is written in Python and uses Tkinter for its graphical
user interface.

Looking at the source in
https://mentors.debian.net/package/gold-silber-rechner/, it's a single
757-line Python script with German interface which, I assume from the
code, UI and the ITP description, does some some simple math on the input.
