In aftermath of installation, it was noticed that there were no sounds
associated with
events for which audio notifications were designated. Subsequent tests
confirmed the
absence of sound for both speakers and earphones.
From 'aplay -L', the listing for all sound cards displays "sof-hda-dsp"
(presumably the
firmware identifier), but "app search" did not find an associated
package and a search of
the Debian Website did not find a match.
Please make sure that any installation logs that you think would
be useful are attached to this report. (You can find them in the installer
system in /var/log/ and later on the installed system under
