With labwc 0.20.2-1 and Squeekboard 1.43.1-2+b1, frequent geometry issues arise with maximized windows when Squeekboard appears or disappears.

Squeekboard appears automatically when a text input field gains focus, reserving space at the bottom of the screen. Some applications,
such as Chromium (and Foot, etc.), resize upwards when Squeekboard appears. When Squeekboard hides or closes, Chromium, for example,
often fails to revert to its previous maximized geometry; it almost always remains at an incorrect size or position instead of returning
to its maximized state.

When this happens, double-clicking the title bar forces the window to maximize correctly again. In the case of Chromium, the first double-click
leaves the window unmaximized and partially off-screen to the right; the second double-click correctly restores the maximized geometry.

Other applications, such as Thunar, behave differently: they do not resize when Squeekboard appears; instead, Squeekboard overlaps the bottom of
the window rather than reducing the usable area.

These incorrect behaviors can also occur with Chromium when switching workspaces, depending on whether Squeekboard is visible.

The exact outcome varies by application and circumstances—with Chromium being the most problematic—but these geometry issues occur very frequently.
