Dear Maintainer, Haruna crashes on startup since today after I upgraded from Qt 6.10 to Qt 6.11: haruna unknown() : Native interface revision mismatch (requested 1 / available 2) for interface QWaylandApplication KCrash: Application 'haruna' crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2 KCrash: Application Name = haruna path = /usr/bin pid = 14401 KCrash: Arguments: /usr/bin/haruna KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/drkonqi qt.nativeinterface: Native interface revision mismatch (requested 1 / available 2) for interface QWaylandApplication kf.idletime.wayland: This plugin does not support polling idle time fish: Job 1, 'haruna' has stopped Haruna apparently has been rebuilt for the Qt transition. The crash may still be related to the new Qt version. Haruna does not crash when installed as a Flatpak. Best, Martin
Greetings. Martin - 23.09.26, 10:51:34 CEST: I missed the still ongoing ffmpeg transition affecting Haruna: https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-ffmpeg.html Should another binary upload fix the crash then I will close my bug report of course. Best,
mpvqt needs to be rebuilt against qt6-wayland 6.11.2 to fix this
A small correction. The change that caused this crash is in qt6-base. https://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qtbase.git/commit/src/gui/kernel/qguiapplication_platform.h?h=6.11&id=d7b1910575a87d06ec6af8257bd85d3e4ac6ac91
Hitting the same crash here (Debian sid, libmpvqt3 1.2.0-3, haruna 1.8.1-1+b1,
Qt 6.11.2, Wayland session).
Here is a workaround:
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb haruna /path/to/video.mp4
Runs fine via XWayland, no crash. Cheaper than pulling in the Flatpak if you
just want haruna working while this is open.
Greetings. Martin - 23.09.26, 10:51:34 CEST: As Rik pointed out mpvqt needs to be rebuilt against qt6-base. This apparently has not happened yet. Haruna still crashes. mpvqt version here is 1.2.0-3. Could a rebuilt be triggered? @Alban: Thanks for the work-around. Best,
