* Package name : argos Version : 1.19.2 Upstream Contact: Matthias Meulien <orontee@gmail.com> * URL : https://github.com/orontee/argos * License : GPL-3+ Programming Lang: Python Description : Front-end for Mopidy music server lightweight GTK client for the Mopidy music server Argos is a graphical front-end for Mopidy, an extensible music server. Key features are: * playback state and tracklist view * volume control (depending on the mixer configuration of the server) * library browser * viewing and editing of playlists exposed by Mopidy-M3U * playing any stream supported by Mopidy-Stream * abstracts of album and artist pages from Wikipedia (based on MusicBrainz identifiers) It targets both the GNOME desktop and single-board computers with a small touchscreen. Mopidy is already packaged in Debian, but there is currently no native graphical client; users must rely on MPDclients through Mopid-MPD or web interfaces. Argos is also available on Flathub, but Flatpak does not support armhf, which is a common architecture for the Raspberry Pi devices often used to run Mopidy. It's a mature and actively maintained. The application is known in the community of Mopidy users. I am its upstream author and use it daily. It is not a dependency of other packages. I plan to maintain it within the Debian Python Team. The packaging is available at https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/argos. I am looking for a sponsor.
