  Description     : extension framework of the Moby engine

 This Go module is the framework the Docker engine uses to add behaviour
 through extensions, replacing the older per-feature plugin systems for
 network, volume and log drivers.

 A Point is a versioned Go interface with its message types. An extension
 declares the Points it provides and those it depends on, and a Host
 initializes the registered extensions in dependency order. The same Point
 can be served in process or by a separate process over gRPC, using wiring
 generated by the mobyextgen tool, whose source is included.

Binary package: golang-github-moby-extensions-dev (import path
github.com/moby/extensions).

Why: docker.io 29.8.1 (in preparation; unstable has 28.5.2, work in
progress at https://salsa.debian.org/mendezr/docker/-/tree/wip/moby-v29)
imports it from engine/daemon/extensions.go and the engine/extpoints/
packages (engine/go.mod: github.com/moby/extensions
v0.0.0-20260909112015-86305e92aa39, and the mobyextgen tool). The docker.io
update is needed by github.com/anchore/stereoscope (ITP
https://bugs.debian.org/1135909).

Upstream marks the project as work in progress. The packaged snapshot,
8e08b0b, is the first commit that carries a LICENSE file; the commit
docker 29.8.1 pins predates it.

I intend to maintain this package within the Debian Go Packaging Team.
