 SwarmKit is the toolkit that implements swarm mode in the Docker engine:
 it orchestrates services, each a set of tasks, across a cluster of nodes.

 Manager nodes keep the cluster state in a store replicated with the Raft
 consensus algorithm and schedule tasks onto nodes; worker nodes run the
 tasks through a pluggable executor. It includes node identity and mutual
 TLS with a built-in certificate authority and automatic certificate
 rotation, encrypted Raft logs, secrets and configs, overlay networking
 allocation and CSI volume support.

 This package contains the Go module github.com/moby/swarmkit/v2.

Binary package: golang-github-moby-swarmkit-v2-dev (import path
github.com/moby/swarmkit/v2; source name without the version, binary
with it, as the Go team does for /vN modules).

Why: docker.io 29.8.1 (in preparation; unstable has 28.5.2, work in
progress at https://salsa.debian.org/mendezr/docker/-/tree/wip/moby-v29)
imports it from the engine (for example engine/daemon/dependency.go,
engine/daemon/libnetwork/cnmallocator/) and from docker/cli; engine/go.mod
pins github.com/moby/swarmkit/v2 v2.1.3-0.20260828175525-ad0357aedfca,
which is the snapshot packaged here. The docker.io update is needed by
github.com/anchore/stereoscope (ITP https://bugs.debian.org/1135909).

Debian had an older source package, swarmkit (ITP
https://bugs.debian.org/844678, closed in 2017); it is no longer in the
archive. This is a new package for the v2 module.

I intend to maintain this package within the Debian Go Packaging Team.
