Hi,

as requested by Salvatore in #1125155 a separate bug report from me.
The last days it was a bit quiet but now it happend very fast again with linux 7.2.8+deb14-amd64 and my Radeon 9060 XT:

Sep 29 17:11:15 fz kernel: amdgpu 0000:09:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* [CRTC:432:crtc-0] flip_done timed out
Sep 29 17:11:50 fz kernel: amdgpu 0000:09:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* flip_done timed out
Sep 29 17:11:50 fz kernel: amdgpu 0000:09:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* [CRTC:432:crtc-0] commit wait timed out
Sep 29 17:12:00 fz kernel: amdgpu 0000:09:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* flip_done timed out
Sep 29 17:12:00 fz kernel: amdgpu 0000:09:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* [PLANE:206:plane-3] commit wait timed out

Sometimes it doestn't happen in a few hours. And sometimes it happens very fast in an hour.

Hi,
This may be the same issue as in 9070 XT [1], which is fixed
by a patch in v7.3-rc4 [2], currently in stable-queue for v7.2 [3].

Hi Felix,

The mentioned patch is in 7.2.9. Could you please test with 7.2.9-1
and report back if you still have the issue reproducible?

Regards,
Salvatore

Hi Salvatore,

thanks for the hint. I already had the feeling that 7.2.9 fixes this.
But let's wait a few days to be completely sure.

Regards
Felix

Seems like it's really fixed now. It didn't crash anymore.
Closing the report.
