Dear maintainer,
dh-go 1.68 no longer declares "Provides: dh-sequence-golang" (dh-golang used
to). A module-aware Go package built with dh-go needs
%:
dh $@ --buildsystem=golang --with=golang
but lintian then emits, against such a source package:
E: <pkg> source: missing-build-dependency-for-dh-addon golang \
(does not satisfy dh-golang:any) [debian/rules]
because the "golang" debhelper addon is still associated with dh-golang, which
is no longer among the Build-Depends once dh-go is used in place of
dh-sequence-golang.
Confirmed on the archive version:
$ apt-cache show dh-go | grep -i '^Provides:'
(no output)
Could dh-go re-add "Provides: dh-sequence-golang" (as dh-golang declares), so
that "--with=golang" resolves its addon build-dependency and no per-package
lintian override is needed? Alternatively this could be addressed in lintian by
teaching it that the golang addon is provided by dh-go.
Several go-team packages currently carry a debian/source/lintian-overrides for
this tag (e.g. docker.io and its stack) as a workaround.
Thanks,
Juan
