About the archive rebuild: The build was made on virtual machines from AWS,
using sbuild and a reduced chroot with only build-essential packages.

If you cannot reproduce the bug please contact me privately, as I
am willing to provide ssh access to a virtual machine where the bug is
fully reproducible.

If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use
reassign and add an affects on src:u-boot, so that this is still
visible in the BTS web page for this package.

device-tree-compiler upstream 1.8.0 droped support for this check in
commit cba90ce82064ad1e6d25f20d8eaa940bd2fc97ed and device-tree-compiler
was updated in unstable to 1.8.1 from 1.7.x in August.

This is enough to get it past the reported issue (at least for arch:all
and arch:amd64).

There are some other issues for arm64 and riscv64, and for those I am
thinking best to get up-to-date with upstream u-boot (2026.10 is
scheduled to release in a few days).
