Dear maintainer(s),

I noticed that package med-laboratory recommends opencfu, which is
currently not available in unstable.

See:

It was removed in December 2025 from testing. But it's not in unstable
either. It had some dependencies (gtk-2) that are not packaged in Debian
(unmaintained by upstream); and opencfu upstream's last release was in
2013 so I assume that it's not coming back.

Would it make sense to remove or update it?

Thank you for your time,

PS[0]: I am developing a tool to detect such issues:
https://salsa.debian.org/carlespina/check-relations . Reports are
manually reviewed before submission. If you would prefer not to receive
such reports (for specific packages, all of your maintained packages,
etc.), please let me know. Any other feedback is welcomed as well. No
more bugreports for this missing relation will be sent.

thanks

Hello Carles.

Thanks a lot for doing this!

I understand that you are trying to be "nice" by not making those bugs RC,
at least until all bugs in such category have been filed, and I don't
object to that, but they are otherwise policy violations (at least the
ones regarding recommends) so I think they should be normal at least.

[ I'm raising the severity of this one myself ].

Thanks.
