Dear Maintainer,
dragonplayer 26.04 is a QML (Kirigami) program, but its Depends list only libraries, and it has no Recommends.
On a system without the QML modules it imports, it cannot start.
To reproduce, in a clean testing chroot:
apt-get --no-install-recommends install dragonplayer
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=offscreen dragon file.mp4
It prints
Main.qml:9:1: module "org.kde.config" is not installed
then the same for org.kde.kirigami, QtCore, QtQuick.Dialogs and QtQuick, and aborts.
The imports of src/qml/*.qml need these packages in Depends:
qml6-module-qtquick
qml6-module-qtquick-controls
qml6-module-qtquick-dialogs
qml6-module-qtquick-effects
qml6-module-qtquick-layouts
qml6-module-qtquick-templates
qml6-module-qtquick-window
qml6-module-qtcore
qml6-module-qtmultimedia
qml6-module-qt-labs-animation
qml6-module-org-kde-kirigami
qml6-module-org-kde-coreaddons
qml6-module-org-kde-config
With them added to Depends, the same chroot starts dragon normally.
Also, the long description still says it plays "all video formats supported by the Phonon backend in use"; the 26.04 program plays through Qt Multimedia.
I found this while packaging Dragon Player for Sparky Stereo OS, a SparkyLinux edition, working with AI assistance (Claude); the reproduction above was run in a clean container.
Thanks,
Daniel Campos Ramos
