Hi,

Starting with debhelper 14, dh_gencontrol automatically applies relationship
substvars to relevant fields. It is my understanding that this tag should not
be emitted when the Static-Built-Using field only contains the
${misc:Static-Built-Using} substitution variable.

Cheers,
Vincent

altogether) and I can see

| Static-Built-Using: golang-1.27 (= 1.27.2-1), golang-fsnotify (= 1.10.1-1),
| golang-github-arran4-golang-ical (= 0.0~git20220517.fd89fef-3), golang-github-clipperhouse-uax29
...

in the `.deb`. So indeed, it seems that this field is actually optional for dh-14+ as documented in [1].

I suppose this should never be omitted for dh-14+ as the values will always be
filled -- do you happen to think of any case with dh-14+ where this might actually be needed?

Adding Niels as well, if you could confirm if there is an edge case where this tag should be needed
or it could simply be ignored for compat-14+.

I've opened an MR to fix this

https://salsa.debian.org/lintian/lintian/-/merge_requests/819

and will proceed to merge once I get some confirmations :)

I can't think of a single use case where this would be needed, but let's
wait for Niels' answer.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Nilesh.
