Dear maintainer(s),
I noticed that package science-chemistry recommends gelemental and
gperiodic, which are currently not available in unstable.
See:
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gelemental: not available in testing
neither sid. The bug closing it says that another period table is
mantained in Debian: kalzium. Perhaps it should suggest it?
(see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1120759)
- https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/gperiodic: removed in 2026 because
gtk2. Last upstream versions are from 2002 (or 2011 depends on where I
look, there might be forks). I think that can be removed.
I had intended to not report yet problems in metapackages; but I think
that this two problems can be fixed.
Thank you for your time,
PS[0]: I am developing a tool to detect such issues:
https://salsa.debian.org/carlespina/check-relations . Reports are
manually reviewed before submission. If you would prefer not to receive
such reports (for specific packages, all of your maintained packages,
etc.), please let me know. Any other feedback is welcomed as well. No
more bugreports for this missing relation will be sent.
