portop displays local TCP and UDP sockets with their owning processes in
a live terminal interface. It associates sockets with systemd services
and Docker containers, supports process inspection and signalling after
confirmation, and provides JSON snapshots, listening-port baseline
comparisons, Docker Compose port audits and an optional web dashboard.

Compared with a socket listing from ss, portop combines process
inspection, service and container association, and baseline drift
checks in a single tool. It complements general process monitors by
focusing on network sockets.

I am the upstream author and intend to maintain the Debian package.
Initial packaging is available in the upstream repository and uses
dh-golang with Debian-packaged Go dependencies, without vendoring or
downloading modules during the build.

I would welcome packaging review and sponsorship, preferably in
collaboration with the Debian Go Packaging Team.
