Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck":

Package name : gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck
Version : 1.0.0-1
Upstream contact : Subhadip Jana <subhadipjana@jdtensor.com>
URL : https://github.com/JD-Tensor/clipdeck
License : GPL-2+
Vcs : https://github.com/JD-Tensor/clipdeck
Section : gnome

The source builds the following binary packages:

gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck - clipboard history in the GNOME Shell top
bar

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

https://mentors.debian.net/package/gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck/gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck_1.0.0-1.dsc

Changes for the initial release:

 gnome-shell-extension-clipdeck (1.0.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Initial release. (Closes: #1151098)

About the package:

Clipdeck adds a clipboard icon to the GNOME Shell top bar. Clicking it
shows a history of recently copied or cut items: text, links, images,
screenshots and files (including videos, shown with thumbnails).
Choosing an item puts it back on the clipboard and pastes it into the
focused window. The history can be searched, and items can be pinned
or removed. Items that password managers mark as secret
(x-kde-passwordManagerHint) are never recorded, and the history is
stored with 0600/0700 permissions under ~/.local/share/clipdeck/.

Compared with GPaste, which is already in Debian, Clipdeck keeps
images and copied files in its history with thumbnails, and runs
entirely inside GNOME Shell with no separate daemon or configuration.

Notes for reviewers:

 * I am the upstream author and intend to maintain the package in
   Debian long term.
 * Plain JavaScript (GJS) extension, Architecture: all, no compiled
code. Upstream release tarballs exclude debian/ via export-ignore.
 * Lintian on mentors.debian.net reports no errors, warnings or info
tags; only two experimental tags about upstream tarball signatures.
 * metadata.json declares GNOME Shell 48 to 50, matched by
   "gnome-shell (>= 48~), gnome-shell (<< 51~)" in Depends. I will
update both for each new GNOME Shell release.
 * Developed and tested on GNOME Shell 50. Upstream ships a test
harness (tests/run-headless.sh) that runs the extension in a
throwaway headless GNOME Shell and drives it with simulated mouse
   input; all 35 checks pass.
 * debian/ is currently kept in the upstream GitHub repository. I am
happy to move the packaging to Salsa (for example under the
Debian GNOME team) if a sponsor prefers.

Regards,
Subhadip Jana
