I would like to have a slot for a renaissance transition
(librenaissance0 -> librenaissance0d).
I noticed that EOModelEditor from bin:gnustep-dl2 is broken as its UI
description files rely on tags implemented only in the unreleased
Renaissance version. To rectify that, we packaged Git master and
unfortunately I had to introduce a Debian-specific SONAME. Most of
the changes are API additions but a few methods were renamed which is
an ABI break.
The last upstream release was 18 years ago and the dedicated upstream
maintainer retired, so I don't expect a future release any time soon.
The sole reverse-dependency gnustep-dl2 builds fine against the new
library version so it can be binNMUed.
Additionally, if we are allowed to have this new version in forky, I'd
like to switch fisicalab.app to use it (it supports both the "classic"
fixed-size UI with .gorm files and the dynamic autolayout provided by
Renaissance with its XML-based .gsmarkup files).
