Description: Multiple-precision BLAS and LAPACK

MPLAPACK provides multiple-precision implementations of BLAS and
LAPACK routines for numerical linear algebra. It allows computations
at higher precision than conventional double-precision libraries.

The initial Debian packages provide the MPFR backend, including
shared libraries, development headers, and pkg-config files.
They depend on gmpfrxx-mkii, which I am also packaging for Debian.

MPLAPACK is needed by octave-mplapack to provide arbitrary-precision
numerical linear algebra operations in GNU Octave.

I am the upstream author and intend to maintain this package
within the Debian Science team. Rafael Laboissiere has reviewed
the packaging and contributed improvements.
