Description : WebRTC graphical console for Proxmox VE
QSM Direct streams a QEMU D-Bus display to a browser over WebRTC, using
software encoding or optional NVENC, QSV and VA-API hardware encoding.
It provides audio, keyboard/mouse input and optional clipboard support,
authorized by the existing Proxmox VE login and VM.Console permissions.
An optional LXC add-on provides graphical container consoles.
I intend to package the standalone profile for Debian contrib. It runs
with official Proxmox VE packages and does not require patched PVE debs,
but still requires pve-manager and qemu-server, which are outside Debian.
I am not proposing those external dependencies for Debian main or claiming
that this is a generic Debian remote-desktop service.
The implementation is available now, with source, binary preview packages,
installation instructions and validation reports:

Development is sponsored by Takt: https://taktcycles.com/
This is project sponsorship; a Debian Developer upload sponsor is still
needed. I plan to maintain the package and am preparing conventional
debhelper source packaging, a file-level copyright/license inventory and
clean-build tests before requesting upload sponsorship. I would welcome
feedback on the contrib scope and the Proxmox runtime dependencies.
The upstream implementation and this packaging work use AI assistance.
The source, build process and test evidence are public for review; this
ITP is an intent to package, not an assertion that Debian review or
acceptance has already happened.
Thanks,
Dmitry
