Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "scandump":
* Package name : scandump
Version : 2.3.0-1
Upstream contact : Adrian Granados <support@intuitibits.com>
* URL : https://github.com/intuitibits/scandump
* License : GPL-3
* Vcs : https://github.com/intuitibits/scandump
Section : net
The source builds the following binary packages:
scandump - Wi-Fi scanner that writes scan results in PCAP format
To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/scandump/
Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:
dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/scandump/scandump_2.3.0-1.dsc
Changes for the initial release:
scandump (2.3.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium
.
* Initial release. (Closes: #1151563)
Notes for reviewers:
* I am the upstream author. The Debian packaging lives in debian/ in the
upstream repository and is excluded from release tarballs; the orig
tarball is the GitHub tag archive fetched by uscan.
* The package builds in a clean sid chroot with sbuild, and lintian
(2.142.0, --pedantic) reports no errors or warnings, only info and
pedantic tags.
* The autopkgtests are marked superficial on purpose: scanning needs
Wi-Fi hardware and CAP_NET_ADMIN, which test beds don't provide, so
they check that the installed binary runs and rejects bad input.
Real scans are tested upstream in CI against mac80211_hwsim radios.
* The package grants no privileges (no setuid, file capabilities,
sudoers rule or maintainer scripts); triggering a scan needs root or
CAP_NET_ADMIN, as documented in the README and man page.
Regards,
