Please remove qxw from Debian. gtk2 is being removed from Debian
and there has been no response to the gtk2 bug

The last upstream git commit was in 2020.

The recommended replacement is the GNOME Crosswords app. It's not yet
in Debian but it has been requested at https://bugs.debian.org/1041470
It is available at

I have been in contact with upstream (CC'd). An updated GTK3 version
of Qxw is due for release before the end of 2026.

I appreciate the need to remove GTK2 software ASAP now, but would hope
that this RM might wait until end of December?

If not, a new GTK3 release of Qxw can go back through NEW when ready,

GNOME Crosswords is not (yet) a replacement for Qxw, although it does
offer *some* of the same design functionality.
