Ok, but mbrola has not had a new upload in a long time.

Why is it happening now? (To be precise, this started happening
somewhere between 2026-10-15 and 2026-10-22).

Do you recommend applying the workaround?

I have already uploaded dropping :native in mbrola, now that lyx has
