This utility has some serious bugs (which I have seen since I began using it months ago on earlier versions of Debian 13). It appears that if any net interface is altered (in my case, because I start up my VPN or because I stop the VPN), nethogs begins printing numerous error messages on the screen, which begin erasing over each other, and the normal output totally disappears. (Please see attached image.)

Even worse, you can't get out of this by hitting ctrl-c, or even ctrl-z to send it into the background. The only way to fix it is to go to another terminal window and kill the process.

I hope that this bug can be repaired. Please let me know if you need any more information.
