* What led up to the situation? -> Memory Shortage Avoided showed up for
firefox
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? -> I was watching a livestream in Firefox and paused it
before stepping away from my computer. The monitor turned off, and I left the
computer unattended for about an hour. When I returned and turned the monitor
back on, the "Memory Shortage Avoided" message was displayed on the screen. I
have 16GB of Ram.
* What was the outcome of this action? -> When I returned after about an
hour and turned the monitor back on, the "Memory Shortage Avoided" message was
displayed on the screen. Firefox had closed unexpectedly, and I had to reopen
it. However, there are no crash reports for today in Firefox's about:crashes
page.
* What outcome did you expect instead? -> I expected Firefox to remain open
while I was away, with the livestream paused, and to be available when I
returned, without closing unexpectedly
Additional information:
The issue occurred twice within approximately an hour and a half. I tried to
reproduce it by pausing a livestream in Firefox, leaving the computer
unattended with the monitor off, and returning later, but I was unable to
reproduce the problem.
There are no crash reports for today in Firefox's about:crashes page, despite
Firefox having closed unexpectedly.

Kernel: 6.12.113+deb13-amd64
DE: KDE Plasma 6.3.6
GPU: Nvidia gtx 1060
Nvidia Driver: 580.196.07 (nvidia repo)
Seems firefox is running on GPU maybe this can cause the issue? I have upgraded
nvidia driver today from 580.178.04-1 to 580.196.07.
