* Package name : libqoriq-rcw Version : 1.4.0 Upstream Contact: Vincent Jardin <vjardin@free.fr> * URL : https://github.com/vjardin/libqoriq-rcw * License : BSD-3-Clause Programming Lang: C Description : library to compile and decompile NXP QorIQ RCW On NXP QorIQ / Layerscape SoCs, the Reset Configuration Word (RCW) is the 1024-bit block the on-chip Service Processor loads from the boot medium at power-on reset: it sets PLL ratios, SerDes protocols, boot source, pin muxing. Then Pre-Boot Initialization (PBI) commands follow it to fine tune the CPU, which the Service Processor runs before it releases the CPU's cores. libqoriq-rcw compiles RCW source files (.rcw / .rcwi, run through a C preprocessor) into the PBL images flashed on the boot medium, decompiles such images back to source, and checks an image the way the Service Processor does before running it: the preprocessor is mcpp, linked (libmcpp), so no compiler is needed at run time. - Why is it useful ? No package in Debian compiles, decompiles or checks RCW images. Its first user is the qoriq-rcw command-line tool (ITP to follow), which shall be used before flashing a board. - Packaging: libqoriq-rcw1 (SONAME libqoriq-rcw.so.1, symbols file, only the functions of the public header exported) and libqoriq-rcw-dev (header, static library, pkg-config file, man page). The unit tests run during the build, an autopkgtest builds a program against the installed library. - Maintenance: I am the upstream author and will maintain the package myself at https://salsa.debian.org/vjardin/libqoriq-rcw, of course co-maintainers are welcomed. I am neither a Debian Developer nor a Debian Maintainer, so I am looking for a sponsor. I am not subscribed to debian-devel to avoid too many emails, please keep Cc me. Thank you, Vincent
