Dear Maintainer,
The gvpr graphviz scripting language is limited to 32-bit integers on
Debian trixie. This is a regression from bookworm, which correctly
handled 64-bit integers. An easy repro example:
gvpr 'BEG_G {
for (i = 1; i <= 8; i = i * 2)
printf("%d %d\n", i * 1024*1024*1024-1, i * 1024*1024*1024)
}' <<<'graph { a -- b }'
On Ubuntu 24.04 (graphviz 2.42.2-9ubuntu0.1) this correctly shows
numbers exceeding 2^31:
1073741823 1073741824
2147483647 2147483648
4294967295 4294967296
8589934591 8589934592
On Debian trixie (graphviz 2.42.4-3) this wraps after 2^32-1:
1073741823 1073741824
2147483647 -2147483648
-1 0
-1 0
I didn't test this particular program on bookworm (2.42.2 series) before
upgrading to trixie, but I do know I successfully ran gvpr scripts with
64-bit integer values on bookworm on the same computer (Acer ChromeOS
laptop), https://github.com/flwyd/adventofcode/blob/main/2025/day11/day11.zsh
with my actual input (which is private, but I can share if needed).
