Description : Zhuyin (Bopomofo) input method engine
0c-ime (靈犀注音) is a Traditional Chinese Zhuyin (Bopomofo) input
method. It provides a shared input engine with Fcitx5 and IBus shells,
a compiled dictionary built from public data, personal vocabulary,
statistical candidate selection, and optional neural models.
The source package builds four binary packages: 0c-ime (engine and
command-line tools), 0c-ime-data (dictionary and neural inference
worker scripts), fcitx5-0c and ibus-0c. The Tauri settings application
is not part of the initial upload because its Rust/Tauri crate stack is
not packaged in Debian; the engine and both desktop shells work without
it.
The compiled dictionary is DFSG-free and can be rebuilt from the bigram
component tarball published in the 0c-ime-data repository:
https://github.com/0c-biggo/0c-ime-data/releases/tag/bigram-20261019
The optional neural models have MIT-licensed weights but no training
source, so they are intended for a separate non-free source package
(0c-ime-models) after the main package is accepted, or omitted from the
initial upload.
The package builds in a clean Debian sid chroot and its test suite
passes. A Debian Developer is assisting with review and sponsorship.
I intend to maintain this package.
