Hi!

I upgraded the other day to the latest version in Debian unstable,
and the KeepassXC web integration stopped working, as in no fields
were getting filled. Was not sure whether it had been a new chromium
upgrade, but now just reverting to the previous webext-keepassxc-browser
version, the integration started working again, so I'm assuming it's a
regression in here.

I did not try with firefox, so set the severity to important, but it
might deserve to be serious?

Thanks,
Guillem

Hi Guillem,

I can confirm, it's broken in Chromium. I'm looking into it.

In Firefox it works as expected, so I keep it important.

Kind regards,
Fuddl

I tried on lwn.net (which I used to confirm the bug), there it works
again when I either select to fill user + password via the right-click
menu, or via the extension's icon in Chromium's extension button in the
button bar top right. The green KeePassXC icon in the user name field
remains broken on LWN.

I did a second attempt with another page, where everything worked as
expected.

Steps I remember and did in the meantime:
   1. apt remove webext-keepassxc-browser
   2. Install the upstream provided extension in Chromium
   3. Confirmed that also that one didn't work
   4. Remove the upstream provided extension from Chromium
   5. apt install webext-keepassxc-browser
   6. Disable and re-enable Chromium support in KeePassXC browser
      integration settings
   7. In Chromium in the plugin's settings, remove and re-add the
      database connection to KeePassXC

According to apt history-list I only upgraded firefox-esr in the
meantime.

Guillem, can you still reproduce after the steps above?

Kind regards,
Fuddl
