 sbt is a build tool for Scala and Java. Builds are described in Scala, it
 compiles incrementally with zinc and runs tests and applications from an
 interactive shell.

sbt was removed in 2023 (https://bugs.debian.org/1035929) because it could
only be built with itself. This is sbt 2, built module by module with the
Scala 3 compiler and dh-scala (https://bugs.debian.org/1152350), without
sbt and without a binary seed. Dependencies are resolved offline against
/usr/share/maven-repo.

It needs scala3 (https://bugs.debian.org/1125161) and several Scala
libraries, which get their own ITPs or team uploads. It will be
maintained in the Java team:
