[ RC-bug raised by a team member to get the package removed from
testing and thus not block the PHP 8.6 transition. ]

The last (failed) run of the autopkgtest of php-mail with php8.6 from
experimental [1] shows several issues (0 PASSED TESTS, 1 SKIPPED TESTS,
and 7 FAILED TESTS) that I haven’t investigated.

Since this package has no dependencies in Debian, it should probably be
removed unless someone uses it and care for it. Explicit X-Debbugs-Cc to
Christoph who took care of the last upload after I opened #1093495 (feel
free to “team upload” it instead of NMU ;).

Hi,

Same as #1152473 and #1152474 AFAICT :-)

I just had a look, the issue is php-pear's use of `report_memleaks`.
This spews a deprecation warning and fails the autopkgtest due to the
lack of `Restrictions: allow-stderr`.

Filed #1152479 against php-pear to that effect. Leaving #-1 open for
now, but AFAICT backporting the PR linked there fixes the issue. I
assume forky will ship with php-pear ≥1.10.18 in which case there is
nothing to do for src:php-mail AFAICT.
