Dear Maintainer,

I've installed version 153.5 from stable-security. It creates a folder
"thunderbird" every time I open it, even if I delete it manually.

Config files are sill in ~/.thunderbird, ~/thunderbird is empty.

Affected versions:

- 1:153.5.1esr-1~deb13u2

Unaffected versions:

- 1:140.16.0esr-1~deb13u1

I believe this is a regression, see Bugzilla:
