Context menu Paste action does nothing.


Environment:

Wayfire 0.10.0-1+b1

wlroots 0.19.3

GTK 4.24.1+ds-1

VTE GTK4 0.84.1-1+b1


Steps to reproduce:

Start a Wayfire session.

Copy some text from any app (Chromium or Mousepad, for example).

Open Terminus.

Right-click inside the terminal and select Paste.

Expected behavior:

The copied text should be inserted into the terminal.


Actual behavior:

The Paste menu item is enabled and visible, but clicking it does nothing when pasting text copied from another application.

Pressing Ctrl+Shift+V successfully pastes the same external clipboard contents.

Copying and pasting text within Terminus itself works correctly, in both normal and Guake modes.

The context menu Paste action works correctly in Terminus under Labwc. The issue is reproducible in both normal and Guake modes under Wayfire.

Could this be related to the context-menu clipboard integration between Terminus, GTK4/VTE and Wayland?
