arduino-serial-discovery fails to cross build from source, because it
fails running the host's Go compiler which cannot be run. Since gccgo
became unsupported, we can change the compiler dependency to golang-go
and since the latter is a multitarget compiler we can annotate it
:native. At that point the actual build succeeds, but assembly of the
binary package still fails due to invalid assumptions on the build
directory layout. During cross compilation, the Go compiler inserts
places files differently. I propose to actually install the files (into
debian/tmp) and then letting dh_install relocate the files as needed.
Please find a patch attached for your convenience. Note that both
"--without single-binary" and "--destdir debian/tmp" will become the
default in debhelper compat level 14 and can be dropped when bumping the
level.
