Changes:
slib (3c2-1) unstable; urgency=medium
.
* New upstream release.
* debian/patches: Drop 0005-Fix-unassigned-variable-error-in-
mitscheme.init.patch, applied upstream (run-shell-command is gone in
MIT Scheme 12.1).
* debian/watch: Convert to uscan version 5 format.
* debian/control: Bump Standards-Version to 4.7.4; drop the redundant
Priority field (Policy 4.7.3).
* debian/control, debian/rules, debian/texi2html.rc: Drop the
texi2html build dependency and its wrapper; upstream's html target
has used makeinfo since 3c1.
* debian/control: Switch to debhelper compat level 14; drop
${misc:Depends}, which dh_gencontrol now injects by itself, and
build-depend on dh-sequence-single-binary, as compat 15 will stop
activating it implicitly.
* debian/rules, debian/clean: Touch collectx.scm before building.
Upstream's rule to regenerate it from collect.scm needs scm, which
is not a build dependency, and the 3c2 tarball's timestamps make
the rule fire during "make install". Also clean up collect.sc,
which that rule leaves behind.
* debian/rules: use more fancy constructs
* debian/postinst: Test for interpreters with "command -v" rather
than an absolute path.
* debian/copyright: Refer to <https://www.gnu.org/licenses/> instead
of the FSF's old postal address.
* debian/slib.lintian-overrides: Loosen the context of the
symlink-is-self-recursive override, which lintian now reports the
other way round.
* Make SLIB usable from Racket (Closes: #970313):
+ New patch 0011-mzscheme.init-fixes-for-modern-Racket.patch:
require the mzscheme language for-syntax too, so the SYNTAX-CASE at
the end of the init file has a binding, and define SUB-VICINITY the
way every other *.init file does, so mklibcat.scm's empty vicinity
no longer trips BUILD-PATH.
+ 0007-Default-implementation-vicinity-under-var-lib-slib.patch: give
mzscheme.init the same /var/lib/slib treatment as Chez, Gambit and
MIT Scheme, instead of writing the catalog into /usr/lib/plt
(Closes: #131129).
+ debian/postinst, debian/postrm, debian/slib.dirs: generate
/var/lib/slib/mzscheme/slibcat when racket is installed, as is
already done for scm. The catalog is not generated at package
build time because racket is a 400MB build dependency for an
Architecture: all package.
+ debian/tests/racket, debian/tests/racket-test-script.scm: new
autopkgtest. Note that mzscheme.init has to be loaded as
"mzscheme -I mzscheme -f ...": Racket's default init language
rejects the one-armed IF that R5RS code, SLIB included, is full of.
Racket pairs are immutable, so the parts of SLIB needing
SET-CAR!/SET-CDR! remain out of reach.
* The MIT Scheme catalog generation, /usr/local search paths and
syntactic-closures failure reported in #641063 were all fixed long
ago, and the submitter asked for the report to be closed
(Closes: #641063).
* Rely on pre-initialized dpkg-architecture variables.
* Fix misspelling of Close ⇒ Closes.
* Spelling patch
