Hi!

gnome-terminal would be the ultimate terminal emulator program if it
would support ZModem up-/downloads natively. this is extremely useful
when logging into another machine via ssh. For downloading a file from
that machine all you'd need to do is to write "sz foo.txt", no
complicated scp lines with annoying authentication. the local
gnome-terminal would recieve that file and save it somewhere locally.

From time to time I have to use SecureCRT/Win32 (a ssh client and
terminal emulator) for accessing a Linux machine from windows, and I
really like the zmodem-over-ssh support of securecrt. really!

The libvte4 package has been removed from Debian. We are reassigning
its bugs to the vte package. Please have a look at them,
and close them if they don't apply to vte anymore.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
