Same problem with LOGABSTRACT: it is unset at startup. Moreover, the manual does not say how to revert to the default behaviour after having set LOGABSTRACT. By trial and error I discovered that setting it to "yes" does the trick.
Another report from Francesco. Should I consider this as a bug? Package: procmail Version: 3.22-4 Severity: normal Same problem with LOGABSTRACT: it is unset at startup. Moreover, the manual does not say how to revert to the default behaviour after having set LOGABSTRACT. By trial and error I discovered that setting it to "yes" does the trick.
The reason LOGABSTRACT is not set, is because procmail tries not to contaminate the existing environment more than necessary. If it is unclear from the existing docs that setting it to yes will revert to the old behaviour, then that should be clarified.
