When printing the default paper size presented by Evolution doesn't match what is in /etc/papersize
According to http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=21631, this bug was fixed a long time ago. I'm not sure if these fixes are included in the woody stable release (1.0.5-1), but they should be in the current testing version (2.0.3-1.1). Should this be closed? Koen
Sorry, that comment was for another bug (#147704). Stupid me... Koen
Hi! A long time ago you submitted a bug related to evolution: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=197103 Can you still reproduce this bug with version 2.0.3 (latest in Sarge and Sid) ? Thanks!
Anand PS: Has the author asked you to through all the bugs submitted on evolution or is this some automated script which does a bug-ping? Very similiar text has to come to me for another bug.
Hola Anand Kumria! Ok, thanks. It's semi automatic. I'm going through all the bugs in Evolution. The ones I can easily reproduce, I check them myself, the ones that are not so easy to reproduce, I ask the submitter to do it. The fact is that a lot of bugs in the Evolution package were fixed with the upgrade of the version and I'm trying to leave open only the ones that are still present. Thanks.
The problem is still present in evolution 2.10.2-1. It appears from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425973 that 2.10 hardcoded the paper size to A4 (!). That bug and, more specifically, http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426816, claim that the necessary fixes have already been committed. This is a real nuisance, since it means I can't print my mail (one printer rejects it; another cuts off the top and bottom if I attempt to force it).
Hey, looking at upstream bugzilla, it seems that this bug is either fixed, either non relevant anymore (because printing has changed too much now). Could you update us on the issue on 2.30? Cheers,
