Hi, when there is only one tab and one opens a second one the window changes it's hight since it has to make room for the "tab bar". If there would be an "always display tabs" option (that even displays a single tab of course), the window wouldn't have to change it's hight (thus allowing to arrange two terminals vertically). Cheers, -- Guido
My request is basically the same as Guido's -- I'd like an option to always display tabs so the layout doesn't keep popping. Another approach would be an option to always suppress the tab bar. This accomplishes what Guido and I would like, while also giving a little real estate back.
Brian McGroarty <brian@mcgroarty.net> writes: And ? This works. Use "gnome-terminal --tab --tab" Read what I wrote in my previous e-mail to Guido. I'm not upstream and I'm not the person who decide which option should be added in gnome-terminal or not. Christian
